The men of the USS Newcomb were bound together by two years of shared danger and adventure. When the war ended, their bond did not. Beginning in 1975, the crew gathered regularly — in cities across the country — to remember their ship, honor their fallen shipmates, and spend time together with the people who understood them best.
Over nearly three decades, the reunions were organized largely by Nate Cook, who also wrote the Newcomb Newsletter (published twice a year) to keep the crew connected between gatherings.
