Monthly war diaries recording the ship's operations in detail.
Nate Cook wrote and distributed the Newcomb Newsletter approximately twice a year from 1975 through 2004 — keeping former crew members connected across nearly three decades. These newsletters are a remarkable record of the crew's lives after the war: marriages, grandchildren, illnesses, passing of shipmates, and the warm humor and friendship that defined the Newcomb family.
Beginning in 1985, Nate Cook transitioned to the "NHC" newsletter series.
